One thing of the best parts of being in a relationship is emotional intimacy and the ability to be unconditionally loved and loving even in our most vulnerable places. This is what we are all looking for, and I must say it is one of my most favorite things in the world.
I mean, I LOVE hot sex, the heart fluttering kisses, the gentle touch, the laughing, the one to go out to dinner with and joins us on our adventures. The one who inspires us and stirs my deepest admiration and joy. Those things are essential, but underneath them is the foundation, the rock and the deepest gift we can receive: the ability to be vulnerable and be accepted.
When we can share our deepest feelings and fears without wearing a mask, profound healing can take place. And when we can love another through their vulnerability, to really see their beauty even when they are sharing their most hidden places, then we are offering another great healing and transformation.
The best way to find this in the outside world is to be that for ourselves. The more I honest I am with myself, the more I accept myself even when my hair is looking like a bit of a rat’s nest and embrace myself even when I’m not sure what the heck is going on in life, the more I can be that for others and see it reflected back to me.
And in the beauty of emotional intimacy and vulnerability is vibrant connection that opens our hearts. Life feels lighter and richer. To share in every aspect of our humanly life brings such joy to my heart.
